Nepali Tara season-3 Winner of Pratap Lama, first runner up Debesh Rai and second runner up Suresh Lama

After a prolific competition among thousands of aspiring singers, across Nepal Coca-Cola Nepali Tara season 3 has finally found its Winner. Pratap Lama was announced the winner of Coca-Cola Nepali Tara Season 3 amongst a gala grand finale organized at Army Officers Club, Bhadrakali on 22nd Falgun, 2071. Along with sponsor Coca-Cola, the show was powered by DishHome in association with Masterpeace. The Himalayan Times was the official media partner while Gionee had partnered as the official mobile partner for the competition.
Pratap Lama overcame Debesh Rai and Suresh Lama in the Grand Finale of the competition to lift the coveted title. Winners of 1st and 2nd season of Nepali Tara Dipak Limbu and Santosh Lama handed over the trophy to Pratap Lama in presence of the judges and the sponsors while Mr. Shekhar Golchha Managing Director of HH Bajaj handed over the key of the newly won Bajaj Discover motorcycle. 
He also won a cash prize of Rs 250,000 (out of which, Rs 75,000 was sponsored by Mr P.L. Shrestha in memory of his late wife Rukmani Shrestha). Along with that first runner up Debesh Rai received a cheque of Rs 50,000 (out of which Rs 10,000 was sponsored by by Santosh Luitel a native of Ilam district and currently working at Saudi Arabia) while second runner up Suresh Lama received a cheque of Rs 25,000.
The Top 3 contestants rocked the stage at Army Officers Club before the final verdict was announced. Although their last stage competition had already taken place and the marks from the judges had already been sealed, the voting was still open till 10 am on the very day. Adding on to the frenzy, winners of preceding seasons of Nepali Tara Deepak Limbu and Santosh Lama along with runner up Dharmendra Sewan also gave their performances.
Furthermore, the Top 10 Album of Coca-Cola Nepali Tara season 3 namely “Nepali Tara Season 3 Top 10”album presented by Royal Stag Mega Music was also launched during the Finale. Winners of the Lyricist contest, held for the audience during the competition were also given cash prizes during the event. Bishwa Limbu, Nawaraj Dahal and Laxman Basnet received Rs 11,000, sponsored by Royal Stag Mega Music , for winning the Lyricist contest.
The Top 3 contestants have their own preferred genre and their own style of singing. Suresh Lama is a small-town boy from Chitwan, who sealed his place in the top 20 with the song ‘Galti Hajar Hunchhan’. He is also a former 1st runner up for Chitwan Idol. Similarly, Pratap Lama of Morang, who has made his identity as a trendy contestant in the competition, sings across restaurants for his living. His performance on ‘Alikati Najar Timro’ was most appreciated by the judges. Pratap Lama is also the brother of Season 2 second runner up Surya Kiran Lama. Likewise Debesh Rai of Itahari finds solace while singing pop songs, but has proved his versatility attempting a wide range of genres throughout the competition. Along with having a brilliant voice, he is equally talented in arranging and composing music.
The quest of Coca-Cola Nepali Tara 3 had started from Dharan on 2nd September, 2014 and subsequently moved to Narayangarh, Butwal, Pokhara, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu from where thousands of aspiring singers were unearthed.
The winner of Coca-Cola Nepali Tara 3 in association with Ncell won a Bajaj Discover motorcycle, along with Rs 250,000/- cash and has sang 3 songs as Coca-Cola Nepali Tara, of which 3 music videos will also be produced. Adding to it, the winner will also get the opportunity of singing in a concert at Seoul, South Korea. Moreover, the winner also gets a trip to Australia sponsored by Digital Key Productions, whereas the top 2 winners will go for a London trip sponsored by 3rd Eye UK. The top five winners also received the world’s slimmest mobile phones from Gionee.
